The Social Democratic Party (SDP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Action Alliance (AA) and Accord Party are missing from the listing of candidates revealed by the Independent (*15*) Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2027 Bauchi State governorship election.

The fee’s listing, launched on Saturday, options 15 governorship candidates and their working mates for the competition to succeed Governor Bala Mohammed.
The absence of the 4 parties leaves their participation in the race unsure, with INEC but to clarify why their candidates weren’t included in the revealed listing.

The parties whose candidates appeared on the listing embody the All Progressives Congress (APC), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), African Action Congress (AAC) and Labour Party (LP).
Also featured are the Action Democratic Party (ADP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Action Peoples Party (APP), New Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), (*15*) Democratic Party (NDP) and (*15*) Rescue Movement (NRM).

Neither the fee nor the affected parties had clarified the state of affairs as of the time of submitting this report.
The omission comes as political parties put together for the 2027 governorship contest, which is able to decide who takes over from Mohammed on the finish of his tenure.
