President Bola Tinubu has stated he’ll prioritise governance over political campaigns and should not attend all rallies organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) forward of the 2027 basic elections.
Tinubu made this recognized on Wednesday through the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the place he urged social gathering leaders and marketing campaign coordinators to take cost of mobilisation throughout states and native authorities areas.
According to the President, “Nigeria needs more attention now than ever before. The responsibility of this office does not pause,” he stated.

The proposed itinerary, masking October 2026 to January 2027, contains the official marketing campaign flag-off in Kaduna and a serious closing rally in Lagos.
The scheduled cities and dates are as follows:
- Kaduna, North-West — October 24, 2026 (official marketing campaign flag-off)
- Port Harcourt, South-South — November 7, 2026
- Jos, North-Central — November 14, 2026
- Ibadan, South-West — November 21, 2026
- Maiduguri, North-East — November 25, 2026
- Enugu, South-East — November 28, 2026
- Bauchi, North-East — November 29, 2026
- Sokoto, North-West — December 5, 2026
- Asaba, South-South — December 12, 2026
- Kano, North-West — December 17, 2026
- Yola, North-East — January 4, 2027
- Lagos, South-West — January 9, 2027 (main closing rally)
The proposed itinerary covers all six geopolitical zones, with three cities every within the North-West and North-East, two every within the South-South and South-West, and one every within the North-Central and South-East.
