The 6th version of the celebrated Amanyanabo Football Tournament has formally been introduced, that includes a revamped Under-18 format and an expanded 20-team lineup. This milestone coincides with the historic 30th Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty, the King of Bonny Kingdom, Amanyanabo of Bonny.
To be held in Bonny Kingdom, Rivers State, the Amanyanabo Football Tournament is an initiative borne out of the King’s imaginative and prescient. Having performed soccer as a youth, His Majesty created the annual event as a automobile to empower, develop, and expose younger athletic expertise throughout Bonny Kingdom.
The occasion is sponsored by Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), organised by Grafton Entertainment, and supported by the Bonny Local Government Council.
To foster expertise growth, the brand new Under-18 format options 20 groups. Eight groups will compete in playoffs on November 14th and fifteenth, 2026, for the 4 remaining primary event slots.
Those 4 qualifiers will be part of 12 seeded groups when the primary competitors begins on November 28, with the ultimate to be performed on December 13, 2026. With each native and worldwide soccer scouts confirmed to attend, the 6th version presents an unprecedented platform for aspiring gamers from Bonny Kingdom to showcase their abilities on a world stage and pursue skilled sports activities careers.
