Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has charged Abia State indigenes residing in Valencia to function exemplary ambassadors of Nigeria by upholding onerous work, integrity, and unity of their host nation.
Speaking because the Special Guest of Honour on Sunday throughout the sixteenth Anniversary celebration of Ndi Abia in Diaspora (Valencia Chapter), the previous Abia State Governor emphasised that the conduct of Nigerians overseas straight shapes international perceptions of the nation.
“Abians are remarkably enterprising—among the best tailors and shoemakers in the world—and should remain proud of their rich Igbo identity,” Ikpeazu said, describing the diaspora as a significant nationwide asset for cultural diplomacy and growth.
He assured the neighborhood of the Embassy’s full assist in addressing their welfare and strengthening bilateral ties between Nigeria and Spain.
Welcoming the envoy, Chairman of Ndi Abia in Diaspora Valencia, Mr Endy Okoroafor, reaffirmed the Igbo philosophy of Onye Aghala Nwanne Ya (let nobody go away their brother behind), urging members to deepen unity throughout all native authorities origins.
The anniversary occasion featured cultural shows, an almanac unveiling, and award displays, highlighting the colourful function of organised diaspora teams in Spain.
