Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is split over alleged anti-party actions forward of the 2027 common elections as some members of the state government committee and political appointees of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa have been accused of working towards candidates recognised by the social gathering’s National Working Committee (NWC).
The growth has heightened rigidity throughout the ruling social gathering, notably following controversies surrounding the National Assembly primaries and the next evaluate of some candidates’ names by the nationwide management.
The allegations come amid claims that Aiyedatiwa is backing some politicians who misplaced the APC primaries to contest the 2027 elections on the platform of opposition events, together with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the coalition related to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
