The lawmaker representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Victor Umeh, has slammed President Bola Tinubu over his plan to borrow extra funds.
Speaking throughout an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Senator Umeh stated Nigerians are groaning and struggling underneath the present administration.
He lamented the state of the economic system.
According to him, the assets in the nation have been poorly managed.
“We are overborrowing. Citizens are groaning. We are suffering. Even the rich also cry now in Nigeria. The resources in the country have been poorly managed,” Umeh stated.
He was reacting to President Tinubu’s request to the National Assembly for approval to borrow fresh funds.
He questioned why the authorities remains to be borrowing regardless of the removing of gas subsidy and rising income.
The lawmaker urged President Tinubu to chop the value of governance as a substitute of overborrowing.
