The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Oyo State, Mogaji Olusegun Agboola, has attributed the omission of his identify from the record of governorship candidates revealed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to a minor error.
Reacting to the omission in Ibadan on Sunday, he reassured social gathering members and supporters of his continued participation within the 2027 governorship election.
Agboola attributed the event to a clerical error, expressing confidence that the scenario can be addressed by way of the required corrections.
The SDP candidate acknowledged the potential affect of the omission on the morale of social gathering members and supporters however maintained that it could not weaken his resolve to contest the election.
“It is a minor error with a big impact on morale, but not one that will knock our confidence,” he stated.
He urged social gathering devoted and supporters throughout the state to not interpret the omission as a setback to the social gathering’s electoral ambitions, insisting that the event wouldn’t deter the SDP from collaborating within the 2027 governorship contest.
According to him, efforts are ongoing to resolve the difficulty, and he expressed optimism that the required corrections can be made.
