A Nigerian nationwide who labored as a canvasser for a Democratic congressional campaign in Pennsylvania has been arrested by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, after pleading guilty to a disorderly conduct cost arising from a public publicity incident.
The US Department of Homeland Security, DHS, recognized the person as Chimaobim Adedayo Igbojekwe in a press release issued on October 7, 2026.
According to the division, Igbojekwe was arrested in East Pennsboro Township, Pennsylvania, on September 27 over allegations of indecent publicity and disorderly conduct. He subsequently pleaded guilty to the disorderly conduct cost.
“ICE subsequently arrested him on October 1, following his conviction,” the assertion stated.
The DHS disclosed that Igbojekwe was working as a canvasser for Janelle Stelson, the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s tenth congressional district, when the incident occurred.
Citing native media reviews, the division stated he was “found with his trousers off and exposing himself in a residential neighbourhood near a park where residents, including children, were present.”
Reacting to the case, ICE Deputy Director Charles Wall criticised Stelson for having the Nigerian nationwide on her campaign crew.
“It’s unbelievable that Janelle Stelson would make use of an unlawful alien to work on a Congressional campaign, not to mention a pervert who uncovered himself in public.
“Every single day, the women and men of DHS are working onerous to focus on and take away harmful unlawful aliens like this sicko from our communities.
“The Trump Administration will always put the safety of the American people first,” Wall stated.
The DHS assertion stated Igbojekwe was legally admitted to the United States in June 2017 however remained in the nation after his authorised interval of keep expired in November 2019.
